Middlesex County Plowing Match

Description: The Middlesex Plowing Match is an annual event held to allow people from farmers to young people from the age of ten to young ladies vying for the title of Queen of the Furrows, the opportunity to get together and compete in the art of plowing. Competitors have the opportunity to earn enough points to go on to compete at the International Plowing Match, which will be held in St. Thomas this year. We have been fortunate enough to have a member of the Middlesex Plowmen's Association compete at the World level numerous times. There are a large number of restored antique tractors in excellent working condition which are used, as well as modern tractors and plows.
